How many pavers do I need?
Divide the patio area by each paver’s coverage, then add about 10% for cuts, breakage and future repairs.
What base does a paver patio need?
A compacted gravel base of 4–6 inches topped with about 1 inch of bedding sand, sloped slightly for drainage.
How many extra pavers should I buy?
Around 10%, and more (15%+) for herringbone or diagonal patterns that require many cut pieces.
How do I calculate patio size?
